Cáceres Irish Fleadh launches four-day music festival

The Cáceres Irish Fleadh begins this Thursday in the Plaza de Santa María, featuring a four-day program of music across the historic district of Cáceres. The event includes performances by Borboreta, a group specializing in traditional instruments like the bagpipe, and JDC, a project that fuses Celtic traditional music with electronic elements, often referred to as folktronica.

Borboreta features musicians Iván Aparicio, Rubén Cantalapiedra, and Germán Ruiz, offering a repertoire of original compositions and world folk adaptations. Following them, JDC, led by Madrid-based bagpiper and composer Jesús del Castillo, will perform using electronic resources and the MID bagpipe.
