Cáceres municipality unveils new football field lighting and extends e‑invoice deadline

The city of Cáceres inaugurated LED lighting at the Guanabara neighborhood football field on Friday, expanding night‑time access for residents, athletes and social projects. The project is part of Mayor Eliene Liberato Dias’ sports and leisure investment program, with Municipal Sports Secretary Cristiano Neves highlighting the benefits for community training, games and family activities. Councilor and former athlete Flávio Negação praised the collaboration between the executive and legislative branches that made the improvement possible.

Separately, the Municipal Finance Department announced that the mandatory issuance of the electronic Service Invoice (NFS‑e) will be postponed to 1 September 2026. The extension gives local service providers additional time to register, adapt and integrate their systems with the national platform, aligning Cáceres with the federal standardisation effort under Complementary Law 214. The previous municipal system will be discontinued, while other online services will remain available.
