Brazil police seize drugs, weapons in spate of operations
On June 13, police in Santos, São Paulo, engaged in a gunfight at Morro do Pacheco, seizing over 1.3 kg of marijuana, cocaine and high‑purity ice, plus cash, scales, radios and ammunition; no injuries were reported.
In Guarapari, Espírito São Pedro, officers carried out raids between June 12‑14, confiscating a 38‑calibre revolver, a 9 mm submachine gun, large amounts of cocaine, crack, hashish and marijuana, and arresting several suspects.
In Pirapetinga, Minas Gerais, a patrol discovered a trash‑hidden bag containing 134 wraps of cocaine, six marijuana tablets, two radios and a few coins after a suspect fled the scene.
In Cáceres, Mato Grosso, police arrested five individuals linked to a faction, seizing two firearms and ammunition while investigating an attempted homicide and other suspicious activities.
In Caraguatatuba, São Paulo, the environmental police unit dismantled illegal hunting structures in Parque Estadual da Serra do Mar and confiscated a 32‑calibre shotgun with ammunition, disrupting predatory poaching.
