CCI-Togo promotes regional logistics hub at Paris economic summit

The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Togo (CCI-Togo) recently participated in a strategic economic meeting in Paris titled ‘Moi aussi je veux le monde’ (I also want the world). Held on September 23, the event aimed to strengthen economic ties between Togo and France and promote Togo as a regional business hub.

Dr. José Kwassi Symenouh, President of CCI-Togo, presented Togo’s logistical advantages to French investors, highlighting the Autonomous Port of Lomé. As the only deep-water port in West Africa, the facility is positioned as a gateway to the ECOWAS market, which comprises approximately 400 million consumers. In 2024, the Port of Lomé handled 30.64 million tonnes of goods and reached a container traffic of 2 million TEUs.

The initiative, supported by the Association of Large Enterprises of Togo (AGET), seeks to help Togolese small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) integrate into international value chains. The delegation included various French economic actors such as Business France, Bpifrance, and Team France Export to foster new partnerships and attract foreign capital for local industrial transformation.
