Cúcuta Deportivo defender Kevin Tamayo faces eviction and club exit

Cúcuta Deportivo defender Kevin Tamayo was reportedly evicted from his home due to unpaid rent, sparking a dispute between the player and the club. Tamayo traveled to Medellín to meet with his family and address the economic situation.

Club president Wilmar Sánchez denied responsibility for the eviction, stating that while the club offered housing, the player chose to rent a property in his own name. Sánchez maintained that the club is not responsible for the player's personal lease agreements.

Following the incident, Tamayo has missed three consecutive training sessions without justification. Head coach Nicolás Chiesa stated that the club will handle the matter legally, noting, “I don't waste energy on people who don't want to be here to fight for what is there to fight for.” The club president added that the player will no longer be part of the institution.
