Cúcuta provides tax guidance to over 6,500 citizens

The Cúcuta Mayor's Office, through its Treasury Secretariat, has provided direct tax guidance to more than 6,500 citizens via the ‘Hacienda en su Casa’ initiative. The program aims to bring institutional services closer to taxpayers in various neighborhoods and urban sectors, including Aniversario, Caobos, La Riviera, and others, allowing residents to resolve doubts regarding taxes, cadastre, and payment agreements without traveling to government offices.

A key focus of the recent deployment was informing citizens about an 80% discount on moratorium interest, a fiscal relief measure with a deadline of Friday, October 2, 2026. This follows a previous phase conducted between May and July 2026, which addressed 4,340 properties. To supplement neighborhood visits, the administration also implemented a ‘traffic light plan’ to provide information to citizens at strategic transit points throughout the city.
