CD Castellón secures Diego Barri extension and signs Jaime Pérez
CD Castellón has announced key squad developments involving both its first team and its reserve side, CD Castellón ‘B’.
Midfielder Diego Barri has signed a contract extension with the first team, securing his stay until June 30, 2028. Barri, who joined from Cultural y Deportiva Leonesa in 2025, became a central figure in the midfield during the 2025/26 season, appearing in 39 official matches and contributing four goals and three assists. The club views his versatility and tactical leadership as vital for their continued stability in LaLiga Hypermotion.
Additionally, the club’s reserve team, CD Castellón ‘B’, has signed 22-year-old forward Jaime Pérez. Pérez joins from Navalcarnero on a two-season deal. During his previous tenure in the Segunda Federación, he recorded six goals and two assists in 28 matches, including a goal in a Copa del Rey appearance against Getafe. The signing is part of a strategic effort to develop young talent within the club’s structure.
