CD Projekt Red has provided several updates regarding its upcoming titles and existing franchise. The studio confirmed that The Witcher 4 is targeted for a 2028 release and is being developed simultaneously for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S to avoid the technical issues encountered during the launch of Cyberpunk 2077.

Despite Sony’s plan to discontinue PlayStation disc production for new games starting in 2028, CD Projekt Red intends to release a physical boxed edition for The Witcher 4. Co-CEO Michał Nowakowski stated that while the studio cannot control platform-specific manufacturing policies, they will include collectible items, or “feelies,” within the boxes to appeal to collectors, even if the contents eventually shift to digital download codes.

Additionally, the studio announced The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Remastered, which is set to launch on September 29. This update will be free for existing owners of the Complete Edition and will feature improved graphics, ray tracing, and enhanced gameplay. The remaster will also be available on Nintendo Switch 2, offering optimized performance and exclusive features like gyroscope control.

Furthermore, a new expansion for The Witcher 3 titled “Songs of the Past” has been revealed. Set in the new land of Letten, this expansion is scheduled for a 2027 release and is intended to serve as a narrative bridge between the third game and the upcoming fourth installment.
