Blizzard and CD PROJEKT RED announce Battle.net partnership

During BlizzCon 2026, Blizzard Entertainment and CD PROJEKT RED announced a major strategic partnership that will expand the Battle.net platform to include third-party titles. Cyberpunk 2077, including the Phantom Liberty expansion and the Ultimate Edition, is scheduled to arrive on the Battle.net launcher in 2026.

The collaboration extends beyond game distribution into cross-media content. In 2027, the hero shooter Overwatch will feature collaborations based on the Cyberpunk: Edgerunners anime series and its sequel. Additionally, Diablo IV will receive Witcher-themed content, including a Geralt of Rivia-themed Barbarian skin available to players who purchase or pre-order The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Remastered or the Songs of the Past expansion via Battle.net.

This move marks a significant shift for Blizzard, transitioning Battle.net from a closed ecosystem for Blizzard-owned properties into a broader storefront for external publishers.
