CD Projekt Red confirms two unannounced games in active development
CD Projekt Red is expanding its development pipeline beyond its currently announced major titles. During a recent financial briefing, CFO Piotr Nielubowicz confirmed that the studio has two unannounced projects currently in the active development phase. These are distinct from earlier research or concept stages and are being treated as active development projects in the company's accounts.
In addition to these secret projects, the studio's existing pipeline includes The Witcher 4, Cyberpunk 2, a new Witcher multiplayer game, a remake of the original Witcher, and a new IP titled Hadar. Regarding The Witcher 4, co-CEO Michal Nowakowski stated that the game is already functional and playable on target platforms, including PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X, with development proceeding at full speed.
The studio appears to be applying lessons learned from the technical issues surrounding the launch of Cyberpunk 2077. While the previous title faced significant console performance challenges, leadership emphasized that The Witcher 4 is being developed with cross-platform stability in mind.
