CD Projekt Red releases updates for The Witcher 3 Remastered
CD Projekt Red has released a hotfix for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Remastered on PC to address technical issues. The update resolves a bug where players lost equipment and items after disabling certain mods. Additionally, the hotfix restores Xbox Play Anywhere functionality between Windows and Xbox Series X|S consoles.
In a recent interview, Marcin Momot, Global Community and Social Media Director at CD Projekt Red, discussed the studio's historical approach to the game's expansions, Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine. He noted that the decision to offer significant content at a relatively low price point was intended to reward player trust during the studio's transition to open-world development.
While the Remastered version was released as a free update for existing owners, the studio has confirmed that a third expansion, titled Songs of the Past, is expected in 2027 and will be a paid content release.
