CD Projekt RED expands team for new IP Project Hadar

CD Projekt RED is expanding its development team for Project Hadar, the studio's first completely original intellectual property. During the company's first half of 2026 earnings conference, Vice President of Investor Relations Karolina Gnaś stated that the project is currently in the concept phase.

While the studio is simultaneously working on major titles such as The Witcher 4 and Cyberpunk 2, it aims to grow the Hadar team from its current 30 developers to 50 by the end of the year. Recent job listings suggest the project will be an emotional, open-world role-playing game, potentially featuring melee combat.

Project Hadar was first announced in 2022 and represents a shift for the developer as it moves beyond its established franchises to create a new brand from the ground up.
