Cyberpunk 2077 receives major Edgerunners 2 update

CD Projekt RED has released the Edgerunners 2 (version 2.5) update for Cyberpunk 2077 across PC, Mac, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. A significant feature of this update is the introduction of cross-platform mod support via mod.io, allowing console players to browse and install community-made content directly through the in-game menu for the first time.

Combat mechanics have been expanded with the addition of a dual-wielding playstyle. Unlocked via the ‘Double Trouble’ perk in the Cool skill tree, players can simultaneously use two Power-category pistols or revolvers. While this offers new tactical options, it includes a 37.5% damage penalty per weapon at the first level.

The update also includes new content inspired by the Cyberpunk: Edgerunners anime, such as the ‘Clampdown’ side quest, new clothing, and the HKGN 102.0 FM radio station. Technical improvements include support for Samsung Odyssey 3D monitors, DLSS 4.5, and performance enhancements for PlayStation 5 Pro.
