CD Projekt RED reports strong H1 2026 revenue and updates development roadmap

CD Projekt RED has reported strong financial results for the first half of 2026, with consolidated revenue reaching 435 million PLN, a 23 percent increase year-over-year. The company achieved a net profit of 249 million PLN and a net profitability rate of 57.2 percent, driven largely by the sustained sales of its back catalog, including over 90 million copies of The Witcher trilogy and over 40 million copies of Cyberpunk 2077.

Regarding development, the studio is heavily prioritizing The Witcher 4, which currently has a team of approximately 520 developers. The Cyberpunk sequel is also growing, with its team reaching 184 people. Additionally, the studio is expanding its new IP, Project Hadar, aiming to grow its team from 30 to 50 developers by the end of 2026.

Due to technical dependencies on The Witcher 4's engine and tools, development of The Witcher Remake has been temporarily paused. The studio is also focusing on the upcoming The Witcher 3 expansion, Songs of the Past, scheduled for 2027. A remastered version of The Witcher 3 is set for release on September 29, 2026, across PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch 2.
