The Witcher 3 Remastered hits new Steam player record

The Witcher 3 Remastered CD Projekt RED Patch 5.01 Steam player record video game updates

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Remastered has achieved a new concurrent player record on Steam, reaching 137,724 players following a free upgrade for existing owners. This milestone surpasses the previous record set in January 2020.

CD Projekt RED has released Patch 5.01 for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S to address community feedback. The update introduces new graphical settings for consoles, including options to adjust bloom, light shafts, and depth of field. Technical improvements focus on stability, raytracing optimization, and fixing gameplay issues such as combat dodge delays, boat controls, and skill synergy values.

A dedicated update for the Nintendo Switch 2 is currently in development. CD Projekt RED stated this forthcoming patch aims to improve image clarity and sharpness to bring the handheld experience closer to parity with other platforms.
