CD Projekt RED S.A. rebrands amid analyst doubts over profit targets

CD Projekt S.A. has officially changed its corporate name to CD Projekt RED S.A., effective August 10, 2026. The change is a formal update intended to unify the developer and the corporation under a single name to simplify communication and avoid confusion.

Simultaneously, industry analysts have expressed skepticism regarding the company's ability to meet its financial incentive program targets by the end of 2026. The goal requires achieving a cumulative net profit of 2.0 billion PLN from continuing operations. As of the end of 2025, the company had realized approximately 74% of this goal.

Following the first quarter of 2026, 418 million PLN remains to be earned to reach the target. While 80% of surveyed gaming analysts express concerns about meeting this milestone—partly due to the shifting release schedule of the 'Songs of the Past' expansion—some suggest that unannounced projects or the impact of 'Cyberpunk: Edgerunners' could potentially close the gap.
