CD Projekt Red says full redemption after Cyberpunk 2077 remains uncertain

CD Projekt Red technical director Michał Nowakowski told Edge that the company is not yet fully convinced it has completed its "redemption arc" after the troubled launch of Cyberpunk 2077, which lost the trust of many players. He said, "I'm not 100 % convinced that we've completed the redemption arc. I think we have lost the confidence of some people forever, and that is fair. But I really hope we can regain it – if not with The Witcher 4, then with whatever comes next."

The studio has been working to avoid a repeat of the Cyberpunk issues and hopes that future titles, especially the upcoming The Witcher 4, will restore confidence among fans, who may not wait for extensive post‑launch patches.
