CD Projekt Red shows progress on Witcher 3 2027 DLC with voice actor Doug Cockle

Voice actor Doug Cockle, who has voiced Geralt of Rivia in The Witcher 3 since 2007, posted a photo on X on 30 July 2026 showing a recording session. The post is interpreted as evidence that voice work is underway for the third Witcher 3 expansion, "Songs of the Past" (Polish: "Pieśni przeszłości"), slated for release in 2027 on PC, Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5.

CD Projekt Red confirmed that the expansion will be showcased for the first time during the Opening Night Live event at Gamescom on 25 August 2027. The expansion is being developed in cooperation with Fool’s Theory of Bielsko‑Biała and is described as a full‑scale expansion rather than a simple DLC, promising a new adventure for Geralt.

The announcements come as The Witcher 3 continues to sell, having surpassed 65 million copies worldwide, and the upcoming content is expected to reignite interest in the series.
