CD Projekt Red updates The Witcher 3 with Remastered version
CD Projekt Red has released a significant remaster of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, featuring extensive graphical and technical improvements. The update introduces enhanced visual fidelity through technologies like PSSR on PlayStation 5 Pro, which allows for high-quality 4K reconstruction and stable ray tracing at 60 frames per second.
Technical updates include a new transmog system that allows players to customize character appearance without altering stats, as well as a patch for Nintendo Switch 2 (version 5.01) designed to improve image sharpness, resolve blurring issues, and fix system crashes and interface errors.
Beyond technical fixes, developers emphasize that the game's longevity—surpassing 65 million copies sold—is driven by meaningful storytelling and attention to detail. Looking forward, the franchise is set to expand with a new remaster version in 2026 and a new expansion, Songs of the Past, scheduled for 2027.
