Cyberpunk 2077 Board Game Announced for 2027 Release
Publisher Go On Board unveiled a cooperative, story‑driven tabletop adaptation of CD Projekt Red’s Cyberpunk 2077, slated for launch in 2027. The game features miniature figures, mission cards, character boards and terrain tiles that let 1‑4 players assume the roles of Edgerunners and explore Night City. A timer mechanic is used to emulate the fast‑paced action of the video game.
An eight‑minute unboxing video revealed the contents of the core set and expansion packs, including assets from Phantom Liberty, Trauma Team, Edgerunners and Johnny Silverhand & NCPD. Playtime is estimated at one to one and a half hours per session, with a claimed 42 hours of campaign content and an “Afterlife” mode for endless play. The late‑pledge window for backers was extended to 20 July, and the game is targeted at players aged 16 and up.
The board‑game trend reflects a broader move of popular video‑game franchises into analogue formats, offering fans a physical, social experience that complements the digital titles.
