CD Tenerife adds defender Jorge Moreno to squad

CD Tenerife has confirmed the signing of central defender Jorge Moreno San Vidal on a two‑year contract. Moreno, 22, comes from the youth system of Rayo Vallecano and has played over 90 matches in Spain’s Primera Federación for clubs including Cultural Leonesa, Córdoba, Osasuna Promesas and Cádiz, scoring three goals in that division. He made his La Liga debut with Osasuna in the 2023‑24 season and most recently featured for FC Cartagena and Cádiz in the top tier.

Sporting director Manu Guill also announced two additional acquisitions: 18‑year‑old forward Óscar Bazaga, an Atlético Madrid academy product, and a further unnamed signing expected later in the week. Guill said the club will decide the future of Aitor Sanz shortly and highlighted plans to bring in more players before pre‑season begins. Recent departures include Jony and Juan Ybarra, who moved to FC Barcelona’s reserve side, generating a significant transfer fee for Tenerife.
