CD Tenerife integrates academy talents and leads environmental initiatives

CD Tenerife is increasingly relying on its youth academy to support the club's professional objectives. Key players such as Dani Fernández, David Rodríguez, César Álvarez, Gabri De Vuyst, and Alassan Gutiérrez have transitioned from prospects to established members of the squad. Dani Fernández, a winger from San Cristóbal de La Laguna, holds the record as the second youngest debutant in the club's history and the youngest scorer for the team.

David Rodríguez has become a versatile and regular fixture in the lineup, appearing in 39 matches last season. His leadership and ability to play multiple positions, including right-back and center-back, have made him a key figure in the locker room.

In addition to sporting developments, CD Tenerife and its Foundation are leading the ‘Por una Isla limpia’ (For a Clean Island) environmental campaign. Supported by the Canary Islands Government, the initiative promotes environmental awareness through waste collection activities. Recently, players and staff from CD AFB Tegueste participated in a cleanup at Los Zamorano, mentored by CD Tenerife captain David Rodríguez. The campaign is part of a broader socio-educational program involving various local clubs to foster environmental commitment across the island.
