CD Tenerife players José León and Enric Gallego reach milestones

CD Tenerife players José León and Enric Gallego are achieving significant milestones during the current season.

José León has entered the ‘Top 60’ list of players with the most appearances in the history of CD Tenerife since its founding in 1922. Following his appearance in the starting lineup against UD Almería, León has reached 159 matches, tying him with Quique Estebaranz and Juan Pizzi. He also ranks as the seventh Madrid-born player with the most appearances for the club.

Meanwhile, striker Enric Gallego is leading the Segunda División scoring charts. Despite approaching his 40th birthday, Gallego has scored two goals in the first two matchdays, including a decisive goal against Almería that secured three points for the team. Gallego has credited playmaker Nacho Gil for his recent scoring form.
