Cádiz approves ‘Cádiz Renueva’ employment aid program

The governing council of the Instituto de Fomento, Empleo y Formación (IFEF) in Cádiz has approved the bases for ‘Cádiz Renueva’, a new employment aid program. Co-financed by the European Union through the European Regional Development Fund, the initiative targets self-employed individuals and SMEs in key local sectors such as commerce, hospitality, and tourism.

Subsidies can reach a maximum of 20,000 euros, covering up to 85% of approved investments. These funds can be used for business creation or modernization efforts, including digital transformation, energy efficiency, accessibility, and facility renovations. The program will prioritize applications from specific neighborhoods, including Loreto, Puntales, Barriada de la Paz, Guillén Moreno, Cerro del Moro, and Segunda Aguada.

This marks the fourth employment program launched by the IFEF since 2023, part of a total investment of 2 million euros. Additionally, a second phase of the ‘Mujer trabajadora y empresaria’ program, which focuses on vulnerable female workers, will open for applications on September 15 with a budget of 441,337 euros.
