Cádiz CF deals with defender’s exit and forward’s loan return

Defender Jorge Moreno, 24, terminated his contract with Cádiz CF after one season and signed a two‑year deal with CD Tenerife. Moreno played 21 official matches for Cádiz (19 in La Liga, two in the Copa del Rey), scored once and logged over 1,600 minutes before moving to the newly‑promoted Segunda División side.

Forward Antoñito Cordero is set to re‑join Cádiz CF on loan from Newcastle United. Cordero previously spent the winter on loan at Cádiz, scoring three league goals and helping the club secure survival. He expressed his affection for the club and the fans ahead of the new spell, which will see him continue his contribution in La Liga.
