Cádiz CF eyes defender Dani Barcia while loaning midfielder Yussi Diarra
Cádiz CF is intensifying its summer transfer activity ahead of the 2026‑27 season, aiming to build a squad capable of challenging for a higher league finish. The club has already completed five signings and is reshaping its defence after the departures of Pelayo Fernández and Jorge Moreno, bringing in Javi Castro and Kenan Toibibou. Cádiz is also monitoring the availability of 23‑year‑old centre‑back Dani Barcia, who helped Deportivo de La Coruña gain promotion; the club could secure him on loan, with his contract at Deportivo running until June 2028.
In the midfield, Cádiz confirmed the loan of 27‑year‑old Malian midfielder Yussi Diarra to Córdoba CF. Diarra made 30 appearances for Cádiz last season, scoring two goals and providing one assist, but failed to establish a regular role. His contract with Cádiz runs until 2029, and the loan is intended to give him more playing time and a chance to regain form.
