Cádiz City Council approves new taxi driving permit regulations
The Cádiz City Council has approved the regulations for obtaining a municipal taxi driving permit, a requirement for professional taxi services in the city. The new rules aim to ensure that new drivers possess the necessary knowledge to provide high-quality service to users.
Applicants must be at least 18 years old and not exceed the legal retirement age, holding a Class B driver's license or higher. The application process includes a 60-minute examination consisting of 40 questions divided into three sections: local geography and taxi regulations, tariffs, accessibility, consumer protection, and basic English; and specific driving itineraries.
To pass, candidates must achieve a minimum score of five. The examination fee is set at 8.10 euros. Interested individuals have a 15-day window to submit applications following the publication of the agreement on the municipal website. Applications can be submitted online or in person at the Local Police Headquarters or the City Council's General Registry.
