Cádiz City Council launches hospitality training program and approves 92 public jobs for 2026

The Cádiz City Council, through its Institute for Promotion, Training and Employment (IFEF), has opened a tender for a hospitality and tourism training programme aimed at unemployed residents. The scheme offers three courses—basic kitchen operations, basic restaurant and bar operations, and reception—targeting 45 participants and including a professional practice period. The contract is valued at €53,662.20, with bids accepted until 27 July. A partnership with Grupo Luna, which will open the Gran Hotel Luna at the Nuevo Mirandilla Stadium, guarantees employment for at least 65 % of graduates.

In a separate decision, the council approved the 2026 public employment offer, allocating 92 positions across local police, administrative and technical roles, with six places reserved for people with disabilities. The plan fulfills a legal requirement to publish job offers within three years and is intended to reinforce municipal services.
