Cádiz and Alicante to Host International Conferences on Free Zones and Industrial Innovation

The Zona Franca de Cádiz will host the 29th Ibero-American Free Zones Conference from 26 to 28 October, bringing together institutional leaders, businesses, universities and experts from Europe and Ibero-America. Organized with the Association of Free Zones of the Americas, the event will focus on talent, innovation, knowledge transfer, investment and the blue economy, aiming to deepen economic cooperation across the Atlantic.

From 28 to 30 October, Alicante will hold the ninth national congress on industrial areas under the theme "Territorios de innovación." Mayor Luis Barcala highlighted the sector’s contribution of €4.45 billion in revenue and over 21,500 jobs, linking the event to the city’s bid to become European Capital of Innovation 2027. The congress will showcase how industrial zones can drive investment, sustainability and digital transformation in Spain.
