Cádiz homeless shelter construction reaches 70% completion

Construction of a new shelter and reintegration center for homeless individuals in Cádiz has reached 70% completion. Located at Calle Soledad 6, the project has a budget of 1.1 million euros and is funded by the Junta de Andalucía through Next Generation EU recovery funds.

The facility will provide capacity for up to 22 people, including 11 temporary accommodations specifically for those in second-stage reception. Beyond housing, the center will offer personalized assistance through Individual Intervention Plans. Due to the building's location in the historic district and its Grade 3 environmental protection status, workers must manually transport materials to preserve the facade. Completion is expected by October 31.
