Cádiz hosts bodypainting gala celebrating local history

The Piarlé makeup academy held a bodypainting gala in Cádiz to conclude a project celebrating the city's history. The event, held in Calle Ancha, featured ten male and female models who served as living canvases for artistic designs representing the ‘Emporio del Orbe’ era.

Directed by Pilar Arjona, the exhibition used body art to depict the city's golden age of trade with the Americas. Specific themes included allegories of America, Europe, Asia, and Africa, as well as historical elements such as period vessels, high society dances, and the Puerta de Tierra. Following the painting session, guide Jesús Carrillo led an imaginary route through the city's history based on the motifs displayed on the models.

Following the gala, Piarlé announced the launch of new training courses in makeup and bodypainting, opening enrollment for students interested in these artistic disciplines.
