Cádiz hosts XI Trofeo de la Hispanidad Optimist regatta

The XI Trofeo de la Hispanidad for the Optimist class will take place in the Bay of Cádiz from October 10 to 12, 2026. Organized by the Federación Andaluza de Vela (FAV), the event is expected to host approximately 160 young sailors from Andalusia, the Canary Islands, and Portugal.

This competition serves as the final event of the 2026 Diputación de Cádiz Sailing Circuit. For Andalusian participants, the regatta holds additional importance as a selection event for the formation of the 2027 Andalusian Optimist Team. The competition will feature nine races across three days, with awards presented in various age categories including Sub 11, Sub 13, and Sub 16.
