Cádiz hosts youth festival and cultural events

The city of Cádiz will host ‘El Encuentro’ this Saturday, August 29, at the Plaza de España. The event, which coincides with Youth Day, features a variety of activities including a scavenger hunt, live podcasts, and musical performances by DJ Tamara Calavera and Space Surimi. To encourage participation from across Andalusia, organizers are providing free dinner and transportation from various locations.

The initiative is supported by the Spanish Youth Council, the Commissioner for the Celebration of 50 Years of Freedom in Spain, the Youth Council of Andalusia, and the Cádiz City Council. Local youth associations will also participate, offering spaces to showcase community engagement and leisure options.

In Chiclana, the ‘Letra & Música’ cycle concludes this Thursday, August 27, at the Museo de Chiclana. Musician Javier Galiana and writer David Monthiel will present ‘Cádiz dentro de un piano’, a performance based on their collaborative work that blends literature and music to capture the sounds and essence of Cádiz.
