Cádiz joins Manuel de Falla Archive Foundation board

The City Council of Cádiz has officially joined the Board of Trustees of the Manuel de Falla Archive Foundation. This move strengthens cultural and institutional ties between Cádiz and Granada, the two cities most closely linked to the composer’s life and work.

During a meeting held in Granada, Cádiz Mayor Bruno García and Granada Mayor Marifrán Carazo highlighted the importance of this collaboration. The partnership comes at a significant time, marking the 150th anniversary of Manuel de Falla's birth and the 80th anniversary of his death. The initiative aims to protect the composer's legacy and engage younger generations through educational and cultural programming.

Additionally, the City of Cádiz has expressed its formal support for Granada's candidacy to become the European Capital of Culture in 2031.
