Cádiz Mayor to meet with citizens protesting bus route changes

The Mayor of Cádiz, Bruno García, is scheduled to meet with a citizen platform representing the University of Cádiz to discuss proposed changes to the city's urban bus routes. The group is campaigning to preserve the current itinerary of Line 2 through the Campo del Sur area.

The platform argues that the proposed changes would eliminate direct connections between the city center and several neighborhoods, including Puntales, Loreto, and San Severiano, forcing residents to rely on transfers. While the Mayor has expressed confidence that increased bus frequency in the new transport plan will improve service, the citizen group has filed a formal written request with the City Council to maintain existing direct links.
