Cádiz prepares for 2026 Paseo del Carnaval festivities

The third edition of the Paseo del Carnaval Cádiz 2026 is scheduled for Saturday, September 5. Organized by the Cádiz City Council in collaboration with local commerce associations, the event will transform the Paseo Marítimo into an open-air stage from 20:00 to midnight. Approximately 40 free performances will take place across three stages: Módulo Central, García Agulló, and Nereidas, featuring award-winning groups from the COAC 2026 competition.

In a separate viral moment related to the festivities, members of the Santa María chirigota, known previously as ‘Los Robins’, performed their presentation song during a flight from Seville to Bilbao. The impromptu performance, accompanied by rhythmic clapping, was recorded by passengers and shared on social media, highlighting the cultural reach of the Cádiz carnival traditions.
