Cádiz province registers eleven candidacies for Congress
The province of Cádiz will see eleven candidacies for the Congress of Deputies in the general elections scheduled for November 29. According to the Official State Gazette (BOE), these provisional lists also include 15 candidates for the Senate.
This represents one more candidacy than the previous general elections held on July 23, 2023. Seven political formations are maintaining their names: PP, PSOE, Vox, Adelante Andalucía, Pacma, PUM+J, and Frente Obrero. Notable changes include the coalition Sumar rebranding as Frente Amplio Andaluz, the return of Podemos as a solo entity, and the debut of Se Acabó la Fiesta (SALF) and the Partido Comunista de los Trabajadores de España (PCTE).
Several groups from the 2023 elections, such as Recortes Cero, Caminando Juntos, and AxSí, will not participate in this upcoming vote. Identified lead candidates include María José García-Pelayo for the PP, José Manuel Albares for the PSOE, Blanca Armario for Vox, Esther Gil de Reboleño for Frente Amplio, María Sánchez for Adelante Andalucía, and Julio de la Torre for Podemos.
