Cádiz starts renovation of historic school for new hospitality academy
The Diputación de Cádiz has begun structural consolidation work on the historic IES Santa María del Rosario in the city center. The building, closed for nearly two decades, will become the new campus of the Escuela Provincial de Hostelería Fernando Quiñones. The first phase, contracted to Atlántico 18, costs €735,788 and is scheduled for six months, with completion targeted for January 2027.
Almudena Martínez, president of the Diputación, and mayor Bruno García visited the site. After the structural works, an adaptation project – budgeted at €3.8 million – will be prepared in the summer to convert the 1,829 m² building for hospitality training, replacing its current location in the Zona Franca of Cádiz.
