Cádiz unveils commemorative stamp for composer Manuel de Falla

The Sociedad Filatélica Gaditana has presented a commemorative stamp dedicated to the composer Manuel de Falla in Cádiz. The initiative is part of the celebrations marking the 150th anniversary of his birth in 1876.

Designed by Juan Antonio Casas Pajares, the stamp utilizes a photograph of the composer sourced from the municipal archives. The project aims to use philately to promote Falla’s cultural legacy and connection to his birthplace by allowing his image to travel globally via postal mail. The stamp was produced through the Correos 'TuSello' service, which allows for personalized designs with official postal guarantees.
