CDK Global appoints Sudhakar Ramakrishna as President and CEO

CDK Global, a major provider of automotive retail software, has appointed Sudhakar Ramakrishna as its new president and CEO, effective October 5, 2026. Ramakrishna, who also joins the company's board of directors, succeeds Brian MacDonald. MacDonald is retiring from the role but will remain as a senior strategic advisor to both CDK and Brookfield to assist with the leadership transition.

Ramakrishna is a veteran of the enterprise technology sector, having previously served as president and CEO of SolarWinds. His professional background includes leadership roles at Pulse Secure, Citrix, Polycom, Motorola, 3Com, and U.S. Robotics.

The leadership change comes as CDK Global continues a multi-year technological evolution, having invested over $500 million to transition its platform from a system of record into a system of intelligence and engagement. The company's data assets currently include 257 million unique customer IDs.
