CDM Smith appoints Daniel Clark as Chief Financial Officer

CDM Smith has appointed Daniel Clark as its new Chief Financial Officer. Clark succeeds Thierry Desmaris, who is retiring after more than a decade of service to the employee-owned engineering firm.

Clark brings over 20 years of experience in the architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) industry. Having started his career as an engineer before transitioning into finance, he is expected to oversee financial strategy, enterprise risk management, and governance. CDM Smith Chairman and CEO Tim Wall noted that Clark’s dual background in finance and engineering is well-suited to the company’s evolving business needs.

Clark holds an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a bachelor’s degree in architectural engineering from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo.
