Cédric Prizzon investigation concludes in Portuguese double homicide case

An investigation by the Portuguese Polícia Judiciária has concluded regarding the double homicide allegedly committed by Cédric Prizzon, a former French police officer. Prizzon is accused of murdering his ex-wife, Audrey Cavalié, and his current partner, Angela Legobien-Cadillac, in Bragança, Portugal.

Reports indicate that Prizzon’s 12-year-old son witnessed the crimes. The child reportedly led the GNR (National Republican Guard) to the location where the bodies were buried. The victims died of asphyxiation.

The case gained international attention after the two women disappeared from their homes in the Aveyron region of France in March 2026. While the two children involved were found alive following a pursuit in Portugal, the victims' families have been seeking Prizzon's extradition to France for trial. He remains in provisional detention in Portugal.
