CDU parliamentary group meets in Brussels to discuss European security

The CDU parliamentary group of the Hessian State Parliament held an external meeting in Brussels to discuss European security and transatlantic cooperation. The discussions focused on how Europe can remain capable of action and united in the face of current challenges.

During the visit to NATO headquarters, the group met with Dr. Jan Grünhage, the Deputy Permanent Representative of Germany to NATO, to gather information on the current security situation and the importance of NATO's eastern flank. Parliamentary group leader Ines Claus emphasized that while foreign policy is not within their immediate jurisdiction, understanding international developments is vital for their political work in Hessen.
