CE Laietà hires staff as Ball Cerdà seeks young dancers

Club Esportiu Laietà is seeking a versatile instructor to join its team starting in September. The club is expanding its activity offerings, including Aquagym, CrossFit, Functional training, and Spinning, to enhance services for its members.

In La Seu d'Urgell, organizers of the Ball Cerdà are calling for young dancers aged 9 to 15 to ensure the tradition's future. Organizer Dolors Carrillo noted that participation in this age group has dropped from fifty pairs pre-pandemic to approximately twenty recently. Maintaining at least 15 to 20 pairs is considered essential to perform the 'caragol' figure. Additionally, the dance will continue to allow same-sex pairings, a decision reached in consensus with the local council to modernize the tradition while maintaining traditional attire and dance characteristics.
