Ceadach O’Neill targeted by FAI amid Arsenal rise

Arsenal youth player Ceadach O’Neill is the subject of interest regarding international eligibility. The 18-year-old winger, who joined Arsenal from Linfield FC in July 2024, has previously undergone trials with Liverpool and Southampton.

O’Neill has represented Northern Ireland at the senior level twice and has appeared in numerous youth fixtures. However, under current regulations, he remains eligible for a one-time switch to the Republic of Ireland. Reports indicate the Football Association of Ireland (FAI) is attempting to secure his commitment to their senior squad.

Since joining Arsenal, O’Neill has made over 50 appearances across the U18, U19, and U21 levels, scoring 20 goals. He recently featured in pre-season training with the Arsenal first team and has signed a professional contract through the 2026/27 campaign.
