Ceará government expands Vapt Vupt public service to 43 cities
The Government of Ceará has announced a major expansion of the Vapt Vupt public service program, which centralizes various federal, state, and municipal services in single locations. The expansion will bring new units to 43 municipalities, including Aracati, Acaraú, Aquiraz, Camocim, Cascavel, Caucaia, Limoeiro do Norte, Russas, Quixadá, and Sobral.
This initiative aims to increase the program's territorial coverage from approximately 30% to nearly 90% of the state's population. Daily service capacity is expected to double, rising from 17,000 to 35,000 people. The program currently offers 227 services, such as the issuance of the National Identity Card (CIN), Detran-CE services, and Cagece assistance.
In addition to physical locations, the expansion includes digital services and mobile units designed to reach communities and individuals with mobility challenges. The project will be implemented through a public-private partnership with an estimated monthly investment of R$ 17 million, which is expected to generate approximately 800 direct jobs in the affected regions.
