Ceará Legislative Assembly supports breastfeeding rights

The Legislative Assembly of Ceará (Alece) has implemented measures to support breastfeeding and human milk donation. These initiatives aim to protect the rights of breastfeeding women and encourage the nutritional benefits of breast milk for infant development.

During the ‘Agosto Dourado’ campaign, emphasis is placed on the importance of information, support networks, and the role of human milk banks. Experts highlight that breastfeeding provides essential nutrients and protection for infants while supporting maternal health. The support network also extends to milk donation, allowing mothers to assist infants in need through milk banks.
