CEB invests R$ 21 million in public lighting across Distrito Federal

CEB Iluminação Pública e Serviços (CEB IPes) has completed 86 public lighting projects across 21 administrative regions of the Distrito Federal between July and October. The initiative involved an investment of R$ 21.3 million to install or modernize 5,347 lighting points, reaching an estimated 373,000 people.

Significant work was carried out in São Sebastião, which saw 17 interventions and nearly 2,000 lighting points updated, affecting approximately 51,300 residents. Other major areas included Planaltina, with 710 points across five interventions, and Sol Nascente/Pôr do Sol, which received 567 points through eight projects.

The upgrades covered various infrastructure, including residential streets, plazas, parking lots, sports fields, and major road corridors such as the DF-001 in Jardim Botânico, which received R$ 5.73 million in investment during this period. Recanto das Emas also saw significant improvements through 11 interventions totaling R$ 1.48 million.
