Cebu to host PVL and Spikers’ Turf 10th-season opening

The Premier Volleyball League (PVL) and Spikers’ Turf will launch their landmark 10th season in Cebu on October 10, 2026. This marks the first time in the leagues' modern history that the season opener will be held outside of Metro Manila.

The event will take place at the newly opened SM Seaside Cebu Arena and will feature a triple-header of matches. The schedule begins at 1:00 p.m. with Choco Mucho Flying Titans against Capital1 Solar Spikers, followed by a marquee match between the Creamline Cool Smashers and Akari Chargers at 6:00 p.m. A Spikers’ Turf match will conclude the festivities.

Organizers noted that Cebu was selected due to its status as a major volleyball hub and its significant contribution to the league's talent pool. Numerous professional players, including Sisi Rondina, Deanna Wong, and Isa Molde, have Cebuano roots. The move follows regional grassroots initiatives such as the V-League Visayas launched by Sports Vision Management Group, Inc.
