CECANE/UNIFESP conducts school nutrition training in Ubatuba

CECANE/UNIFESP conducted a week-long training program in Ubatuba focused on the National School Feeding Program (PNAE). The initiative, held in partnership with the National Fund for Educational Development (FNDE), aimed to integrate various sectors responsible for student nutrition, including educators, nutritionists, managers, and procurement officials.

The training included technical meetings and school visits to monitor the entire food supply chain, from product acquisition to meal preparation. A key focus of the discussions was increasing the participation of traditional communities in food supply. This involves the Catrapovos initiative, coordinated by the Federal Public Ministry (MPF), which works to ensure the purchase of local, healthy foods for school meals, starting in the Ubatumirim and Caçandoca regions.
